C-, J- and H-type sections describe different profile families used in forklift mast, carriage and support structures. The letter identifies the general cross-section; it does not define the final dimensions, material or load rating.
C-Type Mast Channels
C-type profiles are commonly used for mast rails and guide structures. Opening width, flange geometry, straightness and roller-contact areas must match the assembly design.
J-Type Carriage and Guide Profiles
J-type sections can support carriage-bar and guide functions where an asymmetric profile is required. The drawing should identify the loaded surfaces, machining allowance and joining features.
H-Type Support Sections
H-type profiles can be used in mast-support, frame and fabricated structural applications. Web and flange dimensions are selected around the load path and connection design.
How to Select a Profile Family
- Start with the assembly function and interface
- Define material and mechanical-property requirements
- Mark critical dimensions and tolerances
- Separate rolled-section requirements from machining requirements
- Validate samples in the customer assembly
Information to Include in an RFQ
- 2D or 3D section drawing
- Steel grade and applicable standard
- Critical dimensions and tolerances
- Cut length and downstream processing
- Trial quantity, annual demand and destination
Send your drawing for a feasibility review. Material, tooling, inspection scope, minimum order quantity and lead time are confirmed after technical review.
